Video: "Obama aims to dismantle state of Israel" - R. Rubinstein

Dr. Rubinstein asserts that Obama supports the destruction of Israel because the creation of this state has been a historical mistake.  If this dismantling should occur, the result will not be Jews and Muslims coexisting in Palestine.  Rather, it will be the annihilation of the Jews because Islam has a built-in opposition adn aversion to Jewish people.  This is in their Koran and carried on as tradition  in their history of conquests.  Consequently, Obama's position is nothing less than paving the way to another Holocaust.  Therefore, it becomes a moral imperative for any person of conscience and goodwill to oppose this as an inherent evil.  Read more at http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/06/why_islam_will_never_accept_th.html

Dr. Richard L. Rubinstein, author of "Jihad and Genocide", Harvard Phd, Yale fellow, "Distinguished Professor of the Year", and Harvard Phd, states that president Obama's intention is to "correct the historical mistake of the creation of the state of Israel." Dr. Rubenstein states that president Obama due to his family heritage is extremely pro Muslim - to the point of "wanting to see the destruction of Israel."

Videos: How a family guy rolls. Don't miss the ride bro.

Family life is awesome.  I have 5 children and wouldn't change a thing even if I ever get the chance to do it all over.  Life is short and passes quickly.  Don't let it pass you by because of fear.  The only thing to fear is fear itself.  (at the web http://divine-ripples.blogspot.com/2010/06/videos-how-family-man-rolls-dont-miss.html )

Turning iron into gold.

The devil’s advocate insisted, “When did Don Bosco pray?” St. John Bosco founded religious orders, built churches, established schools, wrote books and fulfilled his priestly duties that there seems to be no time for personal prayer. The defender of his cause replied, “When did Don Bosco not pray?”

The point is that St. John Bosco prayed with every activity. While he focused on the task at hand, he did it as an offering to God. While St. Benedict’s motto was “Work and prayer”, with St. John Bosco it became “Work is prayer.”

One way to do this is to have a pure intention e.g. fulfilling God’s will, working for God’s glory, or saving souls. So, when blogging one thinks not of getting hits but of uplifting the blogosphere.  In so doing, one does not put porn-like images to attract readers.

Another way to transform work is to live in “God’s presence”. While God is always there, we may forget that reality. To constantly remind oneself, one can say a prayer of aspiration like “Jesus meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine”.

Having a crucifix, holy pictures or Bible passages around also helps. I remember cursing up a storm when my project manager stopped by and made small talk about the icons in my cubicle. If the icons by themselves don’t help, my co-workers will make sure that they do – I guess.

This practice of continued prayer is living the liturgy of life. It is like offering Mass all day long.  It enables us to convert our mundane activities into spiritual treasure, like iron into gold.

Do you know your identity - beyond external descriptions?

Aristotle taught, “Know thyself.” That classical precept stands as the cornerstone of mental health and consequently life itself.  Knowing who one is determines what one will do. Agere sequitur esse. Action follows being. Knowing oneself determines one’s relations. If you know who you are, then you will know who you want to be with.

One can answer this question in a scientific, empirical or existential way with biology and history - your DNA and family tree. Those include sex, race, ethnicity, IQ, physical abilities or challenges, emotional profiles or temperament and even pre-neurotic tendencies or predominant passions of sensuality, complacency or timidity. Ancient labels e.g. Sanguine, Choleric, Phlegmatic and Melancholic or more contemporary classifications from Myers-Briggs e.g. Extravert, Intuitive, Thinker, Perceptor describe these innate tendencies, preferences, styles and interests.

From the innate to the external or environmental are other factors that can define or form who one is. It is based on wealth, heritage, education, culture, class, caste, nationality, religion, economic system and socialization. From the view of forming the person, it can be simplified as nurture.

Finally, the “will” or self-determination can make one all that one can be – overcoming natural handicaps and situational obstacles. One can change nature and nurture to some extend and become whoever one wishes to become. But that displaces the answer from who are you to whom did you become?

Another way to approach this is philosophically i.e. from ultimate causes unlike science that consider immediate causation. One will consistent essences rather than particular existence. Cogito ergo sum. I think therefore I am. I am not a rock but a rational life. Then, I have the seeds of eternity planted in my desires – an indication that I am to live forever and because of that, I transcend my bodily shell. I have a spiritual component in me. That spark is a trace of my beginning and eternal existence.

Who am I? A spark from an eternal flame meant to sparkle forever. A being higher than dolphins and chimps because I share something divine. I have a name, a unique identity. I am a creature but unlike whales, I share the life of my Creator and to Whom I shall eventually find myself. Now I have an idea – as Plato would explain how we recall our perfect selves in that world of ideas.

What works is to combine the essential with the existential. That will bring some concreteness to ground the abstraction, a body to house the spirit. Who am I? An incarnate spirit, born with specific DNA, nurtured with historical experiences and have becoming and is still becoming by personal choices.   I am a divine ripple.

To sound an alarm, Gen. McChrystal sacrificed his career - in vain.

Photo:  Those who fail to learn the lessons of history are bound to repeat them.

How did Gen. McChrystal ask his president for help?  Not effectively.  But he saw no other way, not with the bozos who were managing the war.  The politicians did not care about the level of effort or the reality of their schedule.  They wanted to bring the troops home just in time for the presidential election.  Gen. McChrystal sacrificed his career to sound an alarm but it was ignored.  A president with military experience would have done at least a double take when he sees a galant soldier fall on his sword.  But an arrogant lawyer just doubles down.

"Obama set another misguided deadline -- this time to begin an American withdrawal from Afghanistan by July 2011. Whether the president realizes it or not, he is going to have to abandon that deadline as well -- and the sooner he does so the better. The Guantanamo deadline only cost him some momentary embarrassment; the Afghanistan deadline could cost us a war. ...As Missouri Sen. Kit Bond put it, if the withdrawal date stands, Obama is "setting [Petraeus] up for failure." The deadline is more than a tactical error; it is a strategic miscalculation that undermines almost every element of our efforts in Afghanistan."

Repeal Obamacare by women who know that it's a hoax

Obamacare will fund more abortions.  That only helps the abortion industry and their political supporters.  It uses women as chopping blocks and their babies as raw meat - both victims is this business of taking sacred life.  It is an unconscionable practice in the USA but it is permitted by laws and funded by taxes. Because greed has no limits, it will not stop.  It will continue as the industry targets little girls by handing out condoms to 6 year olds - condoms that are broken.  Hear the women themselves and act to save our daughters.

Video: 11 Reasons to Vote for Democrats in November

The members of the Democrat party have given us a lot to consider before voting in November 2010. Here are just 11 reasons to consider voting for the Democrats.
http://divine-ripples.blogspot.com/2010/06/video-11-reasons-to-vote-for-democrats.html

Whistleblower exposes travesty of justice in DOJ.

Christian Adams is a lawyer based in Virginia who served as a voting rights attorney at the Justice Department until this month when he resigned because of the travesty of justice at the DOJ under the Obama administration.  Here is his witness:  "On the day President Obama was elected, armed men wearing the black berets and jackboots of the New Black Panther Party were stationed at the entrance to a polling place in Philadelphia. They brandished a weapon and intimidated voters and poll watchers. After the election, the Justice Department brought a voter-intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party and those armed thugs. I and other Justice attorneys diligently pursued the case and obtained an entry of default after the defendants ignored the charges. Before a final judgment could be entered in May 2009, our superiors ordered us to dismiss the case.
The New Black Panther case was the simplest and most obvious violation of federal law I saw in my Justice Department career. Because of the corrupt nature of the dismissal, statements falsely characterizing the case and, most of all, indefensible orders for the career attorneys not to comply with lawful subpoenas investigating the dismissal, this month I resigned my position as a Department of Justice (DOJ) attorney."

Jesus and the Democrat

A Republican, in a wheelchair, entered a restaurant one afternoon and asked the waitress for a cup of coffee. The Republican looked across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus sitting over there?"

The waitress nodded "yes," so the Republican requested that she give Jesus a cup of coffee, on him.

The next patron to come in was a Libertarian, with a hunched back. He shuffled over to a booth, painfully sat down, and asked the waitress for a cup of hot tea. He also glanced across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus, over there?"

The waitress nodded, so the Libertarian asked her to give Jesus a cup of hot tea, "My treat."

The third patron to come into the restaurant was a Democrat on crutches. He hobbled over to a booth, sat down and hollered, "Hey there honey! How's about gettin' me a cold mug of Miller Light?" He too looked across the restaurant and asked, "Isn't that God's boy over there?

The waitress nodded, so the Democrat directed her to give Jesus a cold beer. "On my bill," he said loudly.

As Jesus got up to leave, he passed by the Republican, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Republican felt the strength come back into his legs, got up, and danced a jig out the door.

Jesus passed by the Libertarian, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Libertarian felt his back straightening up and he raised his hands, praised the Lord, and did a series of back flips out the door.

Then, Jesus walked towards the Democrat, just smiling.

The Democrat jumped up and yelled, "Don't touch me ... I'm collecting disability."

Vatican 2, Sin and Confession.

Photo:  St. John Bosco hearing Confessions.

What did the Vatican II do to sin? They made him cardinal i.e. the late Card. Jaime Sin. And they framed sin in the context of love. A serious sin ended the relationship while the less serious type strained it. So, the focus was not on the law as much. And gone are the distinctions between mortal and venial sin and the drawings of a totally vs. partially blackened heart in the Catechism and prayer books.

For me, it makes little or no difference because, I try to go and bring my family to the practice of frequent Confession. One does not need to have serious wrong-doings to approach and benefit from the sacrament. The popes have consistently taught this about the confession of devotion and the saints, specially St. John Bosco have used this to produce other saints.

Now if we can only have more priests hear Confessions for a longer time. I live in the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. and I want to tabulate the amount of time each parish dedicates to this sacrament on my blog. But living in this town for over 25 years, I have absorbed enough diplomatic sense to know better. So, I just hope our priest remembers the Cure D’Ars, St. John Vianney, who spent countless hours in the confessional.

The liturgy of life. God's presence is not an absent presence.

A photo makes someone present.  The person may be dead or in another state, but becomes present in a  way.  That presence is not physical, so it is an absent presence.  The person is present, but not really.

God's presence is not like that.  When we become aware of His presence, then He is really there.  We did not cause Him to be there;  we simply became conscious that He is there.  So, God's presence is not an absent presence.

This reality has been utilized by St. John Bosco to prevent his youth from sinning  All over his schools are signs proclaiming "God sees you."  The boys realize that even if they evade the watchful eyes of their teachers, they can never hide from God's gaze.

Living in the presence of God is an aspect of Salesian spirituality.  It is a way to engage in continued prayer thus living the liturgy of life.

Unsure of what serious Muslims are like? Then do this from the safety of your home...

You can join a Facebook group page then chime in the discussions with your Christian or Jewish views.

Or you can go to an online chatroom and voice your opinions there.

I won't tell you how my experiences were to not bias your expectations.

This will help you go beyond the articles and video clips and actually interact with Muslims yourself.

At least, you'll be safe in the privacy of your home.

Video: Hypocrisy of Arab States on "Defamation of Religion" Exposed

How hypocritical is the Muslim push against 'defamation of religion'? Watch the videotape and see for yourself.  Will Congress overcome its political correctness long enough to take 'defamation of religion' off the Obama administration's agenda? Or will they keep putting lipstick on this pig and worship it like a golden calf?

Cafeteria Catholics and Catholic Spiritual Cafeteria

A Jesuit, Franciscan and Salesian was praying Vespers when the power went out.  The Franciscan closed his breviary knowing the he’s dispensed; they’re the touchy feely types. The Jesuit continued praying from memory without missing a beat; they’re the intellectual badasses. The Salesian went to the utility closet to change the fuse – ‘nuf said.
Within the Catholic religious life, there are obviously different ways of following Jesus. While all take the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, each order has a different mission and way of doing things - like a spiritual cafeteria.  But regardless, all these guys follow all of the Catholic faith with an additional consecration to religious life. While they emphasize certain aspects, they reject none of it, unlike a cafeteria Catholic who picks and chooses truths and practices. While cafeteria Catholics claim to have a relationship with God, that relationship is dubious; if one knows God as Father, then one would have the Church as Mother. But cafeteria Catholics reject things about their mother so, they may not know their Father at all.

US public schools under Obama's administration give condoms to 6 yrs. olds

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgsKxOuhMSc

6 yr. olds given condoms in US public schools under Obama's administration. And parents are barred from opting out so, our children's innocence will be raped by the government sponsored school system under Obama. Isn't this covered by laws against corruption of minors? Then again, the laws nowadays are ignored by the people who were supposed to enforce them. And we know that those condoms will be defective, so there will be abortions on the way funded by taxes through Obamacare.  So, I can only think of homeschooling, private schooling and suing the public schools if there is a law that can apply.

According to NYDailyNews on June 22:
[T]he school committee has unanimously adopted a condom distribution policy beginning as early as first grade...  The committee also directed school leaders not to honor demands from parents who object to their kids receiving protection....

More from the Boston Globe:
Superintendent Beth Singer, who wrote the policy... insists that if an especially young child requests a condom, the nurse will ask the student's motive and act accordingly.
"If that were to happen, we would deal with it in a professional and appropriate way," she said. "I don't anticipate that this policy is going to affect youngsters. It's there for adolescents.... We do know from research" that children now have sex at a younger age.

According to Fox:
Parent[ ]... Colleen Dostal... was most upset over the instructor simulating sexual acts using stuffed animals designed to resemble STD's.
"I do not understand why any adult with a classroom of children would show them sexual positions," she toldFox News Radio. "I think that's horribly inappropriate."

Loitering in the restrooms of the interior castle

St. Therese of Avila is one of the doctors of the Catholic Church because of her teachings about the mystical life. In her classic, Interior Castle, describes spiritual growth as moving from mansion to mansion to eventually reach the courts of the God.

Each mansion signifies a situation:
1st: In the state of grace but surrounded by sin. Starting a program to grow in perfection.
2nd: Embarking in religious practices e.g. prayer to advance.
3rd: Living an exemplary life of love governed by reason (so none of that sentimental or lustful desire).
4th: Starting to surrender personal plans and programs to God’s activities
5th: Something like a betrothal where there is “incipient” union in which the soul prepares itself to receive gifts from God.
6th: Something like being “lovers” where the soul is torn between enjoying favors from God and afflictions from outside.
7th: A clarity in prayer culminating in a spiritual marriage with God.

I got lost in the fifth room and will probably lollygag around the restrooms there if I do not do more with my prayer life. Since I am living in the real world of politics, taxes, groceries and timesheets, I doubt if I really can have that serious of a prayer life with the incipient union – whatever that is. I seriously doubt if that is demanded from my state of life. Nonetheless, this is still everyman’s pilgrimage – whether one strides quickly or moseys along. The very language of the upper mansions is so romantic, syrupy and sweet that it is hard to relate to but is something to look forward to. I guess experience will make things intuitive. Lord knows how ineffable these realities are so, St. Therese must have had a heck of time trying to come up with a narrative or description.

One can always read the source and commentaries. I guess it’s a start – like reading about the warmth and light produced by fire. But it is best to actually see and touch the fire at the same time.

Bottom line, there’s a great frontier to explore out there - space for spiritual growth. St. Theresa provides a map or method of going through this morass of the unknown. And it is by prayer.

One enters the first mansion by mental prayer or meditation where one withdraws from without and concentrates on the devout observance of the passion of Christ and penitence.

The second level is the “prayer of quiet” where the human “will” is lost in that of God by virtue of a charismatic, supernatural state given of God, while the other faculties, such as memory, reason, and imagination, are still susceptible to distraction. Despite the interruptions, there is more stillness than the first mansion.

The third level is called "devotion of union" and consists of being is ecstasy. That’s different from taking that street drug because the high comes from the Most High. Reason is absorbed in God even if the memory and imagination wanders around a bit. The intellect and will kind of rests peacefully and blissfully in a conscious rapture of the love of God. I guess it is like being in a trance having your heart and breathing stop – well almost as you behold something so awesome that you just get caught in the moment and your jaw drops while drooling uncontrollably. (St. Therese didn’t put it that way but I don’t get her flowery language much.)

I have to cut and paste the fourth levels and beyond just because. If you get it, I salute you. Here goes. “The fourth is the "devotion of ecstasy or rapture," a passive state, in which the consciousness of being in the body disappears. Sense activity ceases; memory and imagination are also absorbed in God or intoxicated. Body and spirit are in the throes of a sweet, happy pain, alternating between a fearful fiery glow, a complete impotence and unconsciousness, and a spell of strangulation, intermitted sometimes by such an ecstatic flight that the body is literally lifted into space. This after half an hour is followed by a reactionary relaxation of a few hours in a swoon-like weakness, attended by a negation of all the faculties in the union with God. From this the subject awakens in tears; it is the climax of mystical experience, productive of the trance. (Indeed, she was said to have been observed levitating during Mass on more than one occasion.)”

There it is and it is what it is. Once you or I get there, then it will make sense. For now, we’ll clumsily make our way through the castle. When things start getting weird - in nice way then it will be time to get a spiritual director for coaching. Sometimes the devil gets in the act to mess with our heads. It’s worth the journey and the journey is just as fun.  Or we may choose to loiter around the restrooms of the interior castle and get nowhere until time is over.

LCWR & CHA women masquerading as nuns are wanted: dead or alive

We're looking for those faithless women in the CHA who are masquerading as nuns. They are a threat to the Christian community by confusing others with their disobedience, isolence, arrogance, pride and fashion violations. Polyester pantsuits are so 70s. In keeping with the Gospels, we're going to have a little "fraternal" correction. They might be having too much ecstasy - and not the spiritual kind if you know what we mean. And Obama's pen is not going to relieve their frustrated desires to be ordained. So if they can clean up their mess with a public retraction, it will shave off decades from their sentences in Purgatory and be a good preparation for a happy death.  You never know when a Jihadist will hijack their earthly pilgrimage.

On a less flippant tone, their latest crime is supporting Obamacare in spite of the bishops' teaching and mandate.  To quote from an interview..

ALLEN: From your point of view, is this ultimately an ecclesiological question – who speaks for the church?
CARD. GEORGE: Yes, exactly. Our disagreement may be narrow, but it’s a narrow difference that has exposed a very large principle. It affects the nature of the church, and therefore it has to concern the bishops.
I know this comparison may seem dramatic, but a few years ago Cardinal von Galen of Munster [Germany] was beatified. Under the Nazis, von Galen not only condemned euthanasia as an unethical procedure, but he also condemned the laws which permitted it. Today we think of him as a hero, and rightly so. This is the question that has to be raised: Are we to offer moral teaching solely about actions, or also the laws which permit and foster them?"

These nuns think they can speak for the Church.  So, they offer an alternate teaching.  And the media whores quickly pick up on the scandal that they're causing.  They're applying American principles of independence and feminism in places where those do not apply.  The community of faith is not a democracy even if they want to make it such and have themselves voted into power.  The community of believers are not independent from their traditional and historical origins and an American revolution will not change that nature.  But deluded with their degrees and having too much time in their hands plus the limelight of a secular press, these women forge on and wound the very people that they pretend to serve.

But rather than curse them to hell as I feel like doing, I close with a silent prayer for their conversion.

Manhood in a Christian home.

Manhood or "machismo" is defined as a strong or exaggerated sense of masculinity stressing attributes such as physical courage, virility, domination of women, and aggressiveness.  It is downplayed as cultural and even backwards.  But it appears to be deeply planted in nature - genetic even.  Does it have a place in bringing up boys who are followers of Jesus today?

Education is "leading out" into the fore whatever is good.  And masculinity is good.  "Men and female" God made them.  Evangelization is purifying and perfecting these natural elements that have been weakened by original sin.  So, in these traits and leanings lay the Divine genius Who empowered men for a specific and distinctive mission of leadership and service.

Today, the demolition of distinct roles led to emasculation.  And the epidemics of pornography, absenteeism, and adultery brought about an assault on traditional masculinity. With it came an increase in homosexuality as a direct result of divorce and an intentional feminization of boys.  All this societal and cultural ills need to be addressed at the basic unit of the home.

And this is how I encouraged the innate masculinity to teach chivalry, leadership, service, courage and self-confidence.  One starts from the natural tendency then purifies and perfects it with moral and spiritual virtues.

Aggressiveness is faced off against the harsh winter snow.  Dominion is achieved with the power of a snow blower.  Courage and virility is used to mess with trash - something the girls dare not touch.  Strength is employed is doing the most menial of chores - like mopping the floor and brushing the toilet bowls.

Rather than competing with girls, I teach them to be knights who defend the honor of their sisters.  In the process, I teach respect for girls.  Being the protectors puts them in a position of nobility, superiority and power.  And who does not like that.

Finally, we make time to bond - as men.  It is a natural exclusive club ordained by the Divine for the warriors, kings and priests.  During our boys' night, we gather around the fire (or Mongolian barbeque)  and regale each other with stories of our chivalry and courage.   At the end, we lay our swords at the foot of the Lord to serve the weakest and poorest of all.

So, yes there is room for "machismo".  Please pass the beef tartare and haggis.
Aggressiveness is used to fight the harsh elements.

Physical courage and virility is pitted against the heavy trash and the germs lurking there - something the girls are wary about.

The girls are protected, not conquered.

With the reward of membership in that exclusive circle of warriors, priests and kings.

Of women and sushi. Or just as men need to be trusted, women need to be ...

From psychology I learned that women need to be loved as men need to be trusted.  It's just how the sexes respond to affirmation.  So I keep this in mind and drop casual and subtle messages of appreciation to my wife every now and then.  Like when we went for buffet tonight, I saw some eel sushi and got her a few pieces.  "I got these for you, I know you like them."  She trapped the eels with her chop sticks then chased them with that shaved ginger.  "Could you get some more?" she asked.  "Of course."  But it was gone, so I told the chef, "Eel?" He looked at me and said something in Japanese.  "What we have here is failure to communicate," I thought.  Then I saw the picture reference at the back wall.  "Naguri" I said while putting a buck at the tip jar.  He responded again but the tone assured me that I was getting eel.  Sure enough, he got a tupperware with eel and microwaved it.  You see, my wife is with child so she's not taking any chances with raw fish.  The eel sushi is cooked.  So, a little loving keeps the little lady happy.  And when the mother is happy, the children are happy.  It's that Reagan trickle-down economics.

I came under the knife and back again - with tips for you.

I was taken for a heart procedure last week and brought back a few lessons that may be helpful to you.

Before the procedure, I was asked if I had a living will or end of life directive.  I didn't and my wife doesn't know if I want to fight on or have the plug yanked in case I'll turn into a vegetable.  So I'll have that discussion with her and put my decision in writing.  Better still, I might have the word, "Resuscitate!" tatooed across my chest to ally all doubts.  With today's culture of death, people are a little too anxious to pull the plug and harvest your organs.

Then I was asked my religion and so was the person next to me.  That cracked me up because my neighbor identified herself as a cafeteria Catholic.

After the interrogation, I was wheeled into the operating room where my groin was shaved.  The female nurse put a skimpy face towel over my pride and joy to give me some assurance of privacy.  At that point, I pretended to be unconscious,  wouldn't you?  But the doctor kept asking questions so, everyone knew I was conscious.  After a couple of hours the doctor said it was alright.  There won't be any need for intervention.  I still pretended to be unconscious.  The nurse asked why I was so mellow.  With my groin half shaved and a catheter travelling through my artery, do I have a better choice?

I ended back to the station for monitoring.  I heard that I wasn't given any anesthesia.  I guess if they don't hear you wail, scream or groan then you won't get any.  If your turn comes, remember P-E-R-C-O-C-E-T.  But ask your doctor first.

While laying strapped with tubes, I felt so helpless.  I had to call a nurse to help me pee.  Then there were moments of solitude.  I did remember to call on an old friend, my Lord Jesus.  I felt him near but not to take me home - not yet.  I sensed a certain disappointment from him about my meaness with Obama and his Catholic supporters.  He seems to say that his way of patience and love will be more effective in the end.  It will be a challenge for me because I hate these Judases with a white heat passion - specially because they facilitate the murder of the weakest and most defenseless: the unborn and the old.

I did have a consolation and that is I tried to follow God's will most of the time if not always.  I thought of the good that I did when I joined a religious order and taught kids about God.  And my best decision ever was to leave the order because of my doubts about keeping celibacy.  I had a little treasure stashed up in heaven because the Lord saved me and helped me save with an act of love here and there.  How I wish those acts of love were a lot more.  And it is not hard to do.  One needs to forget oneself and forgive others.

But I lived and will see my doctor next week.  He'll probably tell me to cut down on the red meat.  And I'll obey.  I'm just in my 50's and I have 4 young children plus 1 on the way.  Perhaps I can have some more years to my life with life in those years.  It's up to God's plan and my cooperation.

More than diet and exercise, I will try to love even my enemies.  I will still expose their deceitfulness and wrong doing but I shall pray for their conversion and not wish them to burn in hell.  I will let go of my resentments and grudges and fight for God and God alone.  I will forgive and let go.  It will be hard but nothing is impossible with God.

Hard directive from Rome. Does your bishop comply?

"Your rod and your staff – they comfort me": the shepherd needs the rod as protection against savage beasts ready to pounce on the flock; against robbers looking for prey. Along with the rod there is the staff which gives support and helps to make difficult crossings. Both of these are likewise part of the Church’s ministry, of the priest’s ministry. The Church too must use the shepherd’s rod, the rod with which he protects the faith against those who falsify it, against currents which lead the flock astray. The use of the rod can actually be a service of loveToday we can see that it has nothing to do with love when conduct unworthy of the priestly life is tolerated. Nor does it have to do with love if heresy is allowed to spread and the faith twisted and chipped away, as if it were something that we ourselves had invented. As if it were no longer God’s gift, the precious pearl which we cannot let be taken from us. Even so, the rod must always become once again the shepherd’s staff – a staff which helps men and women to tread difficult paths and to follow the Lord.

North Korea Abandons Socialism.

"SEOUL  Bowing to reality, the North Korean government has lifted all restrictions on private markets — a last-resort option for a leadership desperate to prevent its people from starving.
In recent weeks, according to North Korea observers and defector groups with sources in the country, Kim Jong Il’s government admitted its inability to solve the current food shortage and encouraged its people to rely on private markets for the purchase of goods. Though the policy reversal will not alter daily patterns — North Koreans have depended on such markets for more than 15 years — the latest order from Pyongyang abandons a key pillar of a central, planned economy.
With November’s currency revaluation, Kim wiped out his citizens’ personal savings and struck a blow against the private food distribution system sustaining his country. The latest policy switch, though, stands as an acknowledgment that the currency move was a failure and that only capitalist-style trading can prevent widespread famine."
Even though Socialism has already failed in the ex-USSR, Cuba, Europe, Latin America and now North Korea, why does Obama and the Democrats continue to promote it in the USA?
I guess they know that they can keep the scam going for their lifetimes.  And that's all that matters even if it is bound to fail.  They won't be around to suffer the consequences.

If this proves that Obama is not a natural born citizen, then this makes his presidency illegitimate as precluded in the Constitution.  We may be going through a lot of crises but the greatest one is subverting our laws the basis of our identity.  So, this is just as important and we need to follow through to have justice done.  If not, then we just gave up the farm to a sleazy Communist lawyer.

Father Daughter Relationship in Butterfly Kisses Video

I have a head strong 6 year old.  But at the end, her mischief appears to be motivated by a desire for attention - mine.  This music video by Bob Carlisle performing Butterfly Kisses reminds me how time will fly.  So, a little patience and attention will produce a relationship where I can effectively influence or guide her steps in life.  And the process in itself is rewarding, if I stop to look beyond the trouble and appreciate the moment.

My son got a presidential award along with everyone in his class.  He had to write his name in.  I won't bother scanning that piece of toilet paper.  It's just like the promissory note given to that CHA unfaithful, insolent, disobedient arrogant, feminist liberal nun.  It is meaningless and manipulative.  (But I digress.)

And of course, it's just a matter of time before he does this.

Democrats plan to sneak Energy Tax during Lame Duck Session

Knowing that this is the only chance left to establish their Socialistic agenda, Democrats plan to defy the people's will using the so-called lame-duck session.

"Phil Schiliro, the White House congressional liaison, has told the Senate to aim to take up an energy bill the week of July 12, after the July 4 break (and after the scheduled final passage of Wall Street reform). Kagan confirmation will follow, ahead of the summer break, scheduled to begin Aug. 9... The plan is to conference the new Senate bill with the already-passed House bill IN A LAME-DUCK SESSION AFTER THE ELECTION, so House members don’t have to take another tough vote ahead of midterms."

Geraghty recommends that, "Every Republican challenger ought to be demanding that their Democrat incumbent opponent pledge in writing that they will not pass an energy bill in a lame-duck session if they are defeated. When the people make their opinion clear, fundamental concepts of accountability and responsibility require that the opinion not be ignored."

Why is Obama stuck on stupid?

"The big problem for the president is that the Gulf oil spill is his fourth major presidential mistake. The first big mistake was the $787-billion stimulus package. The second was the appeasement of thug dictators, Islamist and leftist. The third mistake was ObamaCare. The fourth is the Gulf. ... The horrifying thing is that we Americans can't afford all these mistakes. We can't afford a president stuck on stupid."

But he's stuck because that's all he has and that is all he knows.

"For President Obama and the liberals, their religion is a secular religion, and their faith is a secular faith. Their faith is a faith in politics and government to right the wrongs of the world. Despite the collapse of their faith with the fall of the Soviet Union and the embrace of capitalism in India and China, these bitter clingers still worship the idols of government programs and their own ethical superiority."

He needs to be open to new information, to listen, to learn and to change his liberal paradigm.  He needs to add new tools in his workbench because when all you have is a hammer, then everything else looks like a nail.  He needs to enrich his brain trust.  But Liberals have shown themselves to be incapable to doing such.  Read how and why this is so from source http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/06/mr_president_youre_stuck_on_st.html

Video: Universal Principles in "Old Glory" Challenged Today Here & Abroad

"Today is Flag Day. On this day in 1777, amidst a desperate war for American independence, the delegates to the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia adopted the “Stars and Stripes” as the official flag of the newly emerging American nation.... Today, our service men and women continue to fight and die under “Old Glory” in defense of Americans’ right to self-government.

The idea of human liberty and its political corollary – the principle of self-government, or sovereignty – is not only applicable to Americans. Rather it is a universal principle applicable to all peoples. Thomas Paine famously observed that “the cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind.”

But this cause is contested today both domestically and internationally. Domestically the Progressives reject America’s first principles and constitutional checks and balances.

Abroad, tyrants and terrorists try to extinguish Lady Liberty’s flame. American sovereignty is also increasingly threatened by international institutions that have little respect for the Rule of Law and self-government.

The ideals of America’s founding are timeless. And yet the cause of Freedom is never complete, but requires eternal vigilance."  More from source:  http://blog.heritage.org/2010/06/14/forever-may-it-wave/

The Catholic faith has a smart tradition.  It is intellectually profound and rich.  The Church will not be effective telling of our story by dumbing that down.  To make our story compelling enough to  light a fire on the earth, we need  to tell the it with panache.

The Obama Justice Department went to bat for the New Black Panther party—and then covered it up.

"The case is straightforward. On Election Day 2008, two members of the New Black Panther party (NBPP) dressed in military garb were captured on videotape at a Philadelphia polling place spouting racial epithets and menacing voters. One, Minister King Samir Shabazz, wielded a nightstick. It was a textbook case of voter intimidation and clearly covered under the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

A Department of Justice trial team was assigned to investigate. They gathered affidavits from witnesses—one of the poll watchers was called a “white devil” and a “cracker.” A Panther told him he would be “ruled by the black man.” The trial team, all career Justice attorneys and headed by voting section chief Chris Coates, filed a case against the two Panthers caught on tape. Malik Zulu Shabazz, head of the national NBPP, and the party itself were also named based on evidence the party had planned the deployment of 300 members on Election Day and on statements after the incident in which the NBPP endorsed the intimidation at the Philadelphia polling station."

The trial team quickly obtained a default judgment—meaning it had won the case because the New Black Panther party failed to defend itself. Yet in May 2009, Obama Justice Department lawyers, appointed temporarily to fill top positions in the civil rights division, ordered the case against the NBPP dismissed. An administration that has pledged itself to stepping-up civil rights enforcement dropped the case and, for over a year, has prevented the trial team lawyers from telling their story." more from source http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/friends-high-places

Obama to become the first American king

"In the United Kingdom and many other countries with a parliamentary system, there is a distinction between the head of state and the head of the government. In some countries, such as Denmark, Spain, and the United Kingdom, the monarch, either a king or queen, is considered the head of state, and with that office goes all the trappings of royalty. The mundane responsibility of running the government falls to the elected parliament and their chosen prime minister.

Of the world's major democracies, only the United States merges both functions into the office of president.

Barack Obama views himself as the head of state only, and he has no concept of what leadership is -- thus, he cannot be bothered with the day-to-day responsibility of governance. He is, in his narcissistic world, above all that; therefore, he delegates the writing of the Stimulus, health care, and other major bills to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid; appoints czars with power to spend and set policy; prefers to let others, who can be conveniently blamed, solve the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico; and continues to castigate the previous administration for all manner of ills, as certainly no one as preordained as he to rule could ever be truly responsible for any failure.

As head of state, President Obama can concentrate on golf, state dinners, White House receptions, travels overseas, backslapping other politicians and world leaders. He can be breathlessly addressed as Mr. President by a fawning media and star-struck citizens. Above all, he can fly to wherever he chooses and have the Secret Service and police part the sea of humanity as he passes through.  More from source http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/06/the_man_who_would_be_king.html "

Pelosi seeks to lower the ethical bar for Congress

Looks like the content of their character ain't cutting it...  So, what's a leader to do to make her caucus look good?  Just change the rules - lower the bar just like in school.  Nancy Pelosi's broom must be getting worn out sweeping all the corruption under the rug.  Since it's from her own people, the most moral Congress - according to her wild wet dream, she needs to do some damage preventation.  Who knows what else might show up before November.

Here's the report.
" Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has privately indicated she is willing to rewrite some of the ethics rules that House Democrats implemented two years ago.  Pelosi late last month met with members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) about the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE), which was created to bolster the ethics of the lower chamber. At the meeting, which was also attended by CBC lawmaker and Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.), sources said Pelosi heard complaints about the OCE’s new powers and investigation tactics. ....Some CBC members also are questioning why Fudge was allowed to lead the effort after the ethics committee just last year admonished her chief of staff, Dawn Kelly Mobley, for advising members and corporations how to get around new House rules against corporate sponsored-travel while serving as the ethics committee staff director under Tubbs Jones....

...While amending the OCE is being considered, making such changes now would be politically difficult because Republicans are citing Democratic ethics scandals in their effort to retake control of the House.

CBC members and Pelosi discussed a plan to begin a dialogue over the next few months about changing the OCE’s rules following the midterm elections. Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio), a former prosecutor who was elected in a 2009 special election after the death of then-ethics committee Chairwoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-Ohio), volunteered to lead the effort.

Sources say Fudge was expected to craft proposed changes to the OCE and circulate them among like-minded lawmakers on both sides of aisle. But in a move that has irritated some House Democrats, Fudge quietly introduced the legislation on May 28 with 19 CBC co-sponsors. Days later, government watchdogs and the editorial pages of The Washington Post and The New York Times blasted Fudge’s resolution."  From http://thehill.com/homenews/house/102633-pelosi-considering-ethics-rule-change

Microsoft & Apple say no porn on its systems.

Here are edifying news from the industry giants of technology.  Who says that private industry is so greedy that it will disregard morality in seach of that almighty buck?  However, what happens if someone files a suit though claiming that pornography is part of free speech?  Given the ethics and morality shown by our government, I shudder to speculate at what the judgment will be.  I mean, if killing babies is a way to reduce the deficit, what's a little flesh on the screen - specially if they can tax it.  This government does not uplift the people in my opinion.  So, it must be cut down to only what is absolutely necessary.  But going back to Bill and Steve, "Kudos."

Excerpts:  "Following Apple's lead in trying to keep pornography off its iPad and iPhone products, Microsoft has announced a new set of policies for the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace that will not allow porn or sexually suggestive content, reports Thaddeus M. Baklinski, LifeSiteNews.com.
The application certification requirements for Windows Phone 7 program developers states that Microsoft will no longer allow content such as "Images that are sexually suggestive or provocative, Content that generally falls under the category of pornography, or Content that a reasonable person would consider to be adult or borderline adult content."
In February, Apple began blocking "adult" applications and sexually suggestive screen shots from its online stores in response to "numerous complaints from our customers about this type of content."
In May Apple CEO Steve Jobs said his company would not be a party to the pornography industry and hoped that the iPad and iPhone revolution would help create a porn-free world.  Source http://www.christiantelegraph.com/issue10009.html
